Farmington area businesses team up to give away brand makeover

Several Farmington area businesses, including a new Farmington design firm, have teamed up to give away a $10,000 brand makeover.

Richard Ensley recently opened Eyecon Design Company at 33110 Grand River. The design and branding firm will focus on creating brand strategy positioning solutions for regional and national brands, but will also be working with local businesses on improving their overall positioning in the marketplace.

“There are so many great businesses in Metro Detroit that too often find themselves receiving underwhelming traction,” said Ensley, a 20-year industry veteran with a resume filled with successful brand launches. “In most cases, the average business owner is overlooking small details that carry large consequences. In some cases, the brand may not have a voice or message- so nobody pays attention, in some cases, the brand may have a tone of voice that actually offends their target customers, in other cases they may be relating to the wrong audience. These are common problems, and I have a passion for solving them.”

As a way of introducing Eyecon Design Company to the community, Ensley has partnered with The Print House, JT Productions and Fitzstitch Embroidery to launch an exclusive rebrand contest. Any registered metro Detroit business can enter by uploading its existing logo at eyeconusa.com/contest; the deadline is December 1. The public will vote on entries December 5-12, and the most popular will receive a total brand makeover, including brand strategy, a redesigned logo, brand stationary, signage, and embroidered apparel.
