See a holiday movie at the Civic, help local families in need

The Farmington Civic Theater in downtown Farmington will show two holiday movies on December 3, and admission will be free with a donation to the Farmington Area Goodfellows.

Bring in new, unwrapped toys, money, or canned and boxed foods for the Goodfellows Holiday Program, which ensures that no child or senior in Farmington and Farmington Hills goes without a Christmas. The holiday classic “Miracle on 34th Street” will show at 10 a.m. and noon, and “Shrek the Halls,” at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 1:15 p.m.

Half of all concession sales will also go to the Goodfellows, so even if you don’t want to see a movie, stop by and purchase refreshments to help the cause. Last year, the drive collected more than 80 toys and books, 489 cans of food, and $1,900 in donations.
