City clerk offices extend hours for election business

Clerk’s offices in the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills will be open extra hours starting October 29, to give voters additional opportunities to apply for absent voter ballots.

Farmington residents can stop by the clerk’s office during regular business hours or on these dates and times:

  • October 29 – 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • November 3-4 – 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • November 5 – 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Farmington Hills City Clerk’s Office will provide extended hours for election-related business on these dates:

  • October 29 – 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • November 1-4 – 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • November 5 – 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Voters should bring photo ID when applying for an absent voter ballot. State Election Law requires anyone without ID to complete an Affidavit of Person Not in Possession of Photo ID; those ballots will be processed as a “challenged ballot.”

The last day to mail absent voter ballots is November 5, but ballots can still be requested at the Clerk’s Offices until 4 p.m. on November 7.
