Farmington Hills Fire Department hosts open house today

Farmington Hills Fire Department hosts its Annual Fire Prevention Open House from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 7, at Fire Headquarters, 31455 W. 11 Mile Rd. on the City Hall campus.

The Department also kicked off its 2016 Fall Assembly Program with a presentation on October 4 at Forest Elementary School. Students will learn about fire prevention and fire safety in a fun and educational setting. This year’s theme is “Star Wars – Good Fire vs. Bad Fire.”

The character lineup includes:

  • Lieutenant Jeremy Dougherty as Kylo Ren
  • Fire Fighter/Paramedic Mike Rucinski as Poe
  • Fire Fighter/Paramedic Aaron Berwick as Darth Vader
  • Paid On Call Fire Fighter/EMT Jennifer Zuccarini as Rey Fire Fighter/Paramedic Blanch Manndez as Stormtrooper/Finn Sergeant Dan Wecker as the Emperor
  • Inspector Stan Barnes as the Narrator

Last year, 116 public education events were conducted by the Fire Department impacting over 11,500 community members. These included school assemblies, station tours, and community events.
