Sweet Dreamzzz, a Farmington Hills nonprofit that helps children in need get a good night’s rest, raised more than $100,000 during its 14th annual “A Night to R.E.M.ember” fundraiser, held September 10 at Ford Field in Detroit.
The evening was an opportunity for guests to tour the Lions’ locker room, explore the field, and meet Roary, the Lions’ mascot. Highlights of the evening included silent and live auctions and music provided by the Jarrod Champion Jazz Duo.
Founded in 1998, Sweet Dreamzzz provides bedtime essentials to economically disadvantaged students and their families and educates children and families about the benefits of healthy sleep habits and establishing a healthy bedtime routine using its Early Childhood Sleep Education Program, the Parent Sleep Education Workshop, and the R.E.M. (Rest. Educate. Motivate.) Sleep Program.
Since its founding, Sweet Dreamzzz has served more than 50,000 children and families, including 190 K-5 students at GEE Elementary, who received the program on September 30. For more information, call the office at 248-478-3242 or visit sweetdreamzzz.org.
