Hills Fire hosts car seat inspections Sept. 24

The Farmington Hills Fire Department can help make sure that your child is safely protected with inspections offered September 24 at Fire Station #4, 28711 Drake Road.

Nationally-certified child safety seat technicians will inspect all types of child car seats for proper installation and possible product recall, by appointment only, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Car seat inspections are free, take about half an hour to complete, and are open to the public. Participants do not have to be Farmington Hills residents. To make an appointment, call Farmington Hills Fire Headquarters at 248-871-2800.

Residents who are unable to attend the car seat safety inspection event on September 24 can contact Fire Marshal Reggie Madeline of the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474- 5500 or contact the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Novi Rehabilitation Center at 248-305- 7530 to schedule an inspection.
