The Farmington Farmers Market will move for a day on September 17, to accommodate the Harvest Moon Festival at the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park in downtown Farmington.
The market will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Village Commons Mall, which is located two blocks east of the pavilion, on Grand River.
Market Manager Walt Gajewski said he is optimistic that market regulars will quickly catch on to the temporary location: “We are just down the street a bit, fully fronting Grand River and we will signs and banners. You can’t miss it and you can park on site as well.”
The special one-day market will include live entertainment and children’s activities, and regular market vendors will be on hand, he added.
The Farmington Farmers Market will be open at its usual location on September 10. To learn more, call 248-971-5882 or visit farmingtonfarmersmarket.com.
