Labor Day weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills

Happy Labor Day weekend! If you’re staying in town, here’s what you should know about trash pick-up and government office hours:

Trash pick-up

Trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up in Farmington and Farmington Hills will move by one day next week, with Monday’s collection on Tuesday, and Friday’s collection on Saturday. Containers and bags should be at the curb by 7 a.m.

Government Offices

Farmington and Farmington Hills city halls and the 47th District Court building will be closed on Monday. The U.S. Post Office branches at 23332 Farmington Road in Farmington (Downtown Farmington Center) and 32455 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills will be closed on Monday. Both locations have self-service kiosks.

Farmington Libraries

Both the Farmington Community Library Main Library, 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills, and the Farmington branch, 23500 Liberty St. in downtown Farmington, will remain closed Saturday through Monday. Both buildings re-open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Online services are available at farmlib.org.

Governor Warner Mansion

While the Mansion is typically open on the first Sunday of the month, but will remain closed Sunday, September 4.
