Annual golf outing raises funds for Hills Police Benevolent Association

A September 9 golf outing at Links of Novi will raise funds for a Farmington Hills nonprofit that helps police officers, fire personnel, and their families.

The Farmington Hills Police Benevolent Association (FHPBA) 22nd Annual Golf Classic tees off at noon, with registration open at 10:45 a.m. Included in the cost of the outing are 18 holes of golf, a cart, use of the driving range, lunch, a steak dinner, prizes, a live auction, raffle, and more.

Officers founded the FHPBA after the off-duty deaths of two police officers. Members also include the Farmington Hills Fire Department, Farmington Public Safety and the Franklin/Bingham Farms Police Department.

Co-chairs for the event are Oakland County Commissioner Bill Dwyer, Ginopolis BBQ owner John Ginopolis, and 47th District Court Judge James Brady. Sponsorships are available, as are separate tickets for the dinner. For additional information, call 248-417-7500.
