Livonia man dies in Farmington Hills cycle crash

A 43-year-old Livonia man died at around 4 a.m. Saturday, after his motorcycle collided with a traffic sign in Farmington Hills.

Police say the man was traveling east on Shiawassee and west of Inkster, when his motorcycle left the road and hit the sign. He died at the scene.

The Farmington Hills Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section is investigating the crash, to determine whether alcohol and/or drugs were involved. Authorities believe the driver was wearing a helmet. Anyone with information is asked to call the Department, 248-871-2610.

A Detroit motorcyclist died last Saturday, after a Dodge Ram pick-up truck struck his motorcycle on Northwestern Highway, north of 13 Mile Road in Farmington Hills. Police are still looking for a blue Ford Fusion in connection with that accident.
