Fresh Thyme Farmers Market representatives anticipate hundreds of people will arrive in downtown Farmington Wednesday morning, as the store opens at 7 a.m.
Previous grand opening days in other communities have seen more than 400 people lining up at the front doors to pick up free bags of groceries given to the first 250 customers, Michigan Director of Operations Bruce Van Overloop told city officials Monday.
Public Safety Director Frank Demers said at the same meeting that officers are prepared to direct traffic, if necessary. Store employees will be provided with maps of long-term parking locations, he said.
