Held September 15 and 16, the award-winning Harvest Moon Celebration includes a Thursday beer and wine tasting event with music by Kate Hinote & the Disasters, and Harvest Moon dance on Friday, featuring the music of Bugs Beddow & the Good Stuff. Both events take place at the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park.
Volunteers may sign up for various shifts and duties during the rally, held at the Pavilion from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be served.
“Simply put, Harvest Moon would not be possible without the engagement of so many devoted volunteers,” said Annette Knowles, Assistant to the City Manager and DDA Executive Director.
Tickets for the Harvest Moon Celebration will be on sale starting August 13 and can be purchased any time at John Cowley & Sons, The Vines, Merle Norman Cosmetics or the Meadows Fine Wine & Liquor, and on Saturdays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market.
