Hosted by the City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division, the free concert starts at 7 p.m. in Heritage Park, located on Farmington Road between 10 Mile and 11 Mile Roads.
The School of Rock House Band includes the School of Rock Farmington’s “Best of the Best”, ranging from ages 11 to 18. They play modern to classic rock music at local events, including the Greater Farmington Founders Festival, Relay for Life fundraising events, and Hamtramck Music Festival.
Jozwiak, a senior at North Farmington High School, has been writing songs since she was eight years old. Aster is an alternative hard blues rock band; members include Ben Lauter (guitar, lead vocals), Bella Fucinari (bass, vocals), Travis Bell (guitar/fuzz manager), and Dalton Joyce (drums). With influences ranging from Pink Floyd to the White Stripes, Aster combines elements of classic rock with progressive fuzz sounds only found in motor city garages.
Stars in the Park sponsor Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will once again offer two random drawings for a one-week Mercedes-Benz driving experience. Attendees who are 21 years or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license may enter the random drawing raffle by visiting the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services vehicle display at Heritage Park during each summer concert. The first driving experience winner will be announced at the July 14 concert, and the second winner will be announced at the final concert of the season on August 18.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.
