Farmington police release surveillance video of larceny suspect

Farmington Public Safety Department released a 29-second video Wednesday in the hopes that someone will be able to identify a young man who is suspected of taking items June 16 from vehicles on Slocum Street.

According to a press release, security cameras outside a home on the 32900 block of Slocum Street recorded a young man walking up the driveway, briefly peering into both of the homeowner’s vehicles, then walking away. The thefts from vehicles parked on Slocum Street happened early the same morning.

Police describe the suspect as an African-American male, approximately 17-19 years old, six-feet tall, and 160-170 pounds. He was wearing a bright blue hoodie, blue shorts and blue shoes. Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact Farmington Public Safety, 248-474-4700, Option #2.

The department also encourages residents to remove valuable items from vehicles and to keep car doors locked at all times.
