The Scott Martin Band will bring fresh guitar sounds and an evening of rockin’ tunes to the June 17 Rhythmz in Riley Park concert, held in at the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park in downtown Farmington.
Tom Birchler, Rhythmz concert series producer, said he had many requests to bring back the band after last year’s concert.
“They keep the audience engaged with just the right mix of familiar rock, country and Americana tunes and their own very accessible original songs,” he said. “Their vocals and musicianship are outstanding. Don’t let leader and songwriter Scott Martin’s easy going vibe fool you. There is power in the music and excitement in their performance”.
In 2007, the band came together and entertains at venues all across southeast Michigan. Their music stretches several decades from The Beatles to Keith Urban, The Who to Tim McGraw, Buddy Holly to U2, Zac Brown to the Black Keys, as well as the great sounds of the bands own original music.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the First United Methodist Church across Grand River Avenue. No food or drinks are allowed in the church. Learn more at downtownfarmington.org.
