Farmington Community Band preps for Orchestra Hall

The Farmington Community Band, under the direction of Maestro Damien Crutcher, will perform a special golden anniversary concert June 26 at historic Orchestra Hall at the Max M. Fisher Music Center.

During the 3 p.m. “Lifetime of Music” concert, the nearly 100-member ensemble will perform selections that include “La Fiesta Mexicana”, “Bach Prelude and Fugue”, “Strange Humors”, “Lux Arumque”, “La Forza Del Destino”, “American Hymnsong Suite”, “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral”, and more. The concert will also feature guest conductors, Dr. Ronnie Wooten, Professor H. Robert Reynolds and bass trombone soloist George Curran of the New York Philharmonic.

Tickets range from $10 to $50 and are available only at the DSO Box office, 313-576-5111 or dso.org. They will also be available at the door on concert day. For more information, visit fcbmusic.org.
