Farmington High students travel to Boston for BPA event

Five Farmington High School students competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, held May 5-9 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Navjit Girgla was a contestant in the Financial Math and Analysis portion of the Conference. Ravindra Tatineni, Ragav Subramanian, Rahul Yalamanchili, and Chirag Adappa were awarded third place in the Website Design Team component of the Conference. Qualifying for Nationals, but unable to attend, was Manisha Dayananda, who would have competed in desktop publishing.

While at the conference, students also participated in a walk for Special Olympics (a charity partner of BPA) and helped break a Guinness Book world record.

Fifty-five members of the club participated in the Regional Conference in January, and 37 qualified to move on to the state competition.
