SWOCC Studios auction to include cameras, boards and more

Items from the now-closed Southwestern Oakland Cable Commission (SWOCC) Studios in Farmington will be sold during a live auction held June 7 at the facility, 33300 W. Nine Mile Rd.

SWOCC Studios
SWOCC Studios closed it doors at the end of March, after the cities of Farmington, Farmington Hills and Livonia dissolved their tri-city cable agreement.

The location previously housed the facility that produced local cable television programs for the cities of Farmington Hills, Farmington, and Novi. The auction will feature items including control boards and panels, lighting systems, studio and remote cameras, editing equipment, office equipment, furnishings, and more.

The Live Bid Auction will be hosted by the Brodie Corporation, a Livonia company that specializes in auctions and appraisals. There will be an inspection available to view the items up for bid on June 6, from 9 a.m. until noon, and also on the morning of the auction before live bidding takes place at 10:30 a.m.

A 12 percent Buyer’s Premium and also a six percent Michigan sales tax will be applied to all items in the auction. All assets are offered on an “as-is, where-is” basis with all faults.
