More than 100 artists from across the country will display their works in downtown Farmington June 4 and 5, during Art on the Grand.
In its seventh year, the juried fine arts fair is presented by the Farmington Hills Special Services Department’s Cultural Arts Division in partnership with the Farmington Downtown Development Authority. Various media will be represented, including paintings, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, glass, photography, and more.
In addition to artist booths lining Grand River, which will close to traffic at 7 p.m. on June 3, Art on the Grand offers a Hands-On-Art area for kids, with a variety of activities and make-and-take projects. The Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market will be open as usual June 4, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Riley Park, featuring only growers and prepared foods.
Event hours are June 4, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and June 5, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 248-473-7276 or visit downtownfarmington.org.
