Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills will offer classes in June for new and expectant parents.
The four-week “Childbirth Education Comprehensive Series” helps parents become informed participants in the birthing experience, including the stages of labor, relaxation and breathing methods, strategies for managing discomfort, C-section deliveries, medications, and more. The class meets from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on June 1, 8, 15 and 22.
A one-night Breast-feeding Clinic offers support to new moms who need assistance nursing their babies and helps expectant parents get the breast-feeding process off to a strong start. The course examines various products and supplies, including electric breast pumps. The class will take place June 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
