The Farmington Community Band (FCB) Music Organization will welcome many of the group’s 700 alumni for “Good Times and Great Music,” a May 1 homecoming concert at the Harrison High School Auditorium in Farmington Hills.
The afternoon event begins at 3 p.m., with classics presented by the 95-piece FCB Concert band, under the direction of Maestro Damien Crutcher. Musical selections will showcase some of the many great musical memories from the band’s 50-year history, including “La Fiesta Mexicana”, “First Suite in Eb for Military Band”, “Italian In Algiers” and “Block M March”, which was the first piece performed at the very first FCB concert in 1966.
Featured guest conductor for this concert is Michael H. Rumbell, director of bands at Northville High School, who will conduct “Symphony For Band” by Morton Gould. Admission is free. For more information visit fcbmusic.org.
