Jazzalot raises funds for Farmington Hills cancer charity

Jazzalot: Music for the Soul, an annual concert hosted by Farmington Hills resident Elaine Greenberg, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 31, at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield.

The 7 p.m. concert will feature music by George (Saxman) Benson, the Cliff Monear Trio, Dave Bennett, and the Southeastern Music Academy Jazz Ensemble. Proceeds will fund Greenberg’s “Chemo Bags” project, which brings comfort to patients receiving chemo or radiation treatments. The bags include a music CD, skin care items, a stuffed animal, custom-made bracelet, and more.
