Food trucks, music, demos at April 22 Earth Day event

Food trucks, music, and more will be part of this year’s City of Farmington Hills Earth Day Celebration, a free event held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 22, in Heritage Park.

In addition to demonstrations and exhibits by Consumers Energy, DTE Energy, the movie “Ratchet and Clank”, Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market, Blanket Insulation and Ecotelligent Homes, Farmington Public Schools Green Teams, and Friends of the Rouge, family activities will include:

  • Concert with School of Rock Farmington
  • Book reading with Lori Taylor, author of “Holly Wild” series
  • Community art project led by the Farmington Hills Arts Commission
  • White Pine seedling giveaway
  • Free archery and hayrides
  • Face painting
  • Recycling crafts
  • Live STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) Experiments
