Registration is now open for classes designed to help expectant parents, which will be offered next month at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills.
During the four-week “Childbirth Education Comprehensive Series,” expectant parents learn about the stages of labor, relaxation and breathing methods, strategies for managing discomfort, the partner’s role in labor and delivery, C-section deliveries, medications, anesthesia and more. The class meets from 7 p.m to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays: May 5, 12, 19 and 26.
The Beaumont, Farmington Hills Breast-feeding Clinic offers support to new moms with “Breast-feeding Basics,” a one-night comprehensive course that helps expectant parents get the breast-feeding process off to a strong start. The course examines various products and supplies, including electric breast pumps and will take place May 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
