A 70-year-old Farmington Hills woman wasn’t injured, but received a ticket after her minivan crashed into a parked car and rolled over on Alta Loma in Farmington early Friday afternoon.
Farmington Public Safety Deputy Director Ted Warthman said the woman had reached over to grab something on the passenger seat, took her eyes off the road, and hit the only car parked on the street. She was ticketed for “failure to use due care and caution,” he said.
While rollover crashes can look devastating, Warthman said in his 20 years of experience, they tend to result in few injuries. “People just get lucky,” he said.
