Central Michigan director of LGBTQ Services keynotes Rainbow Awards

Shannon Jolliff-Dettore, director for the Office of LGBTQ Services at Central Michigan University, will keynote this year’s Rainbow Awards Ceremony, held April 20, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Costick Activities Center in Farmington Hills.

Hosted by the Multicultural Multiracial Community Council (MCMR), the ceremony will recognize winners of the Rainbow award, including students, residents, and others working within the communities of Farmington and Farmington Hills to support and advance MCMR mission and beliefs.

Jolliff-Dettore co-teaches part of the intergroup dialogue curriculum at Central. She will encourage techniques to engage across differences through dialogue and mutual respect.
