Tax Assistance – Tuesdays and Fridays, through April 15

By appointment only at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. Get assistance with federal, state, homestead, and energy credit forms from specially trained members of the AARP. Simple, E-file returns only. All information is confidential. Call 248-473-1830 to make an appointment.

First Friday Ballroom – April 1, 3 p.m.-6 p.m.

Enjoy ballroom dancing, featuring the Mike Wolverton Band. All levels of experience, couples and singles welcome. Buffet dinner included. Fee is $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

Book Discussion – April 7, 1 p.m.

Join a lively, informal book discussion on the first Thursday of each month. This month’s book is And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Paperback copies are available in advance for checkout.

Tigers Opening Day Party – April 8, 12 p.m.

Enjoy a baseball-themed lunch, trivia, and good laughs! Watch the opening day festivities and baseball game in Conway Hall and don’t forget to wear orange and blue. $2.75 suggested donation for those 60 and over, $5 for everyone else.

Friday’s Film – April 15, 12 p.m.-3 p.m.

After a delicious lunch, enjoy the movie “Bridge of Spies.” The afternoon includes popcorn, candy, and a beverage. Fee is $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Tickets available in Conway Hall.

Dine & Discover – Tom Sawyer: His Life and Adventures – April 25, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Enjoy a delicious brunch and learn how Mark Twain derived the jolly and flamboyant character of Tom Sawyer who appeared in several of his novels. Fee is $8.

Bicycling Club – CFAA (Cycling for Active Adults) Spring Meeting – April 27, 7 p.m.

The goals of the club are to promote bicycle safety and to enjoy time with fellow riders while promoting a healthy lifestyle. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. The cost to join the club is $15.

Karaoke – April 29, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Conway Hall for karaoke and enjoy singing along with classics from the past and today’s hits featuring Zack Entertainment. Light refreshments. Fee is $2.

2016 Fifty and Better Golf Leagues

Registration for Women’s, Men’s, and Couples’ Leagues continues through mid-April. General meetings will be held at the Costick Center for Men’s League on Wednesday, April 13 at 10 a.m., Women’s League on Monday, April 18 at 10 a.m., and Couples’ League on Wednesday, April 20 at 11 a.m. Play the Farmington Hills Golf Club for all levels of golfers.
