Locally based alternative hard blues rock band Aster will play March 20 at The Token Lounge in Westland.
Ben Lauter, 15, of Farmington Hills, a freshman at North Farmington; Travis Bell, 16, of Farmington Hills, a sophomore at Harrison; Bella Fucinari, 17, of Rochester; and Dalton Joyce, 15, of Northville, will perform. The show is appropriate for all ages. With influences ranging from Pink Floyd to the White Stripes, Aster combines elements of classic rock with progressive fuzz sounds only found in motor city garages.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the band plays at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $10, and the band gets to keep $3 to help fund their album. Here’s a preview from their recent performance at the Hamtramck Music Festival:
