Electrical repairs at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills will close the building another day, school officials announced Thursday afternoon.
Parents learned early Wednesday morning that the school would be closed that day. Parent-teacher conferences were cancelled as well. Farmington Public Schools spokesperson Diane Bauman said Wednesday evening that an underground electrical main line “has been compromised and no longer is able to supply the school with the electricity necessary for daily operations.”
A Thursday list serv message to parents offered no assurances the school would be open Monday: “We are hopeful that classes will resume on Monday, March 14. We will keep you informed as to the status of Harrison as we move through the next few days.”
