Celebrate Earth Hour in Heritage Park

Explore the cosmos at the Farmington Hills Nature Center during “One Starry Night,” held March 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Kids will create a star craft to take home, then the lights will go off as participants head outside to save energy and celebrate Earth Hour (earthhour.org). Local astronomers will explain the planets, stars, and phases of the moon, and telescopes will be set up to view the starry night sky.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended, at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd., or at recreg.fhgov.com. Call the Nature Center at 248-477-1135 or write to asmith@fhgov.com for more information about upcoming programs.
