Hildreth makes the Fall 2015 President’s List at Pratt Institute

Sydney Hildreth, Farmington Hills resident and a student at the prestigious Pratt Institute, was among more than 1,000 students who made the President’s List in the Fall 2015 semester.

Hundley receives recognition on Ashland University Men’s Basketball Team

Ashland University senior center and Farmington Hills resident Michael Hundley played an essential role as the No. 18-ranked Ashland University men’s basketball team defeated Tiffin University, 79-76, at Tiffin on February 20.

The win improved the team to a 23-4 overall record and 17-4 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles clinched at least a share of their second straight conference South Division title. Their 23 wins are tied for the fifth most in program history, and their eleventh road/neutral-site win of 2015-16 is the most in program history. Ashland has won five games by five points or less in 2015-16.

Hundley hit two free throws to take the lead, 64-62, with 6:17 remaining in regulation at Saturday’s game. He has started in all 27 games, averaging 16.9 minutes per game and 3.1 points per game. Hundley is focusing on Executive Management in the Master of Business Administration program. He is the son of Joe and Denise Hundley of Farmington Hills and is a 2011 graduate of Renaissance High School.

Griffin presents research at Heidelberg University conference

Kelsey Griffin of Farmington Hills was among the more than 100 students who presented their undergraduate research at the 22nd annual Minds@Work Student Research Conference at Heidelberg University on February 23. Griffin, a junior majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology, presented on the topic “The Effects of Disparaging Humor on Organizational Funding”.

Sandford named to William Woods University Dean’s List

Lisa Sandford of Farmington Hills was among 252 William Woods University students named to the Dean’s List for academic accomplishments during the 2015 fall term. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be full-time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Petrak named to Fall 2015 Dean’s List at Baldwin Wallace University

Victoria Petrak of Farmington Hills, a graduate of North Farmington High School majoring in music education and instrumental performance, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall Semester 2015 at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean’s List.

Washington named to Fall 2015 Dean’s List at The University of Findlay

Zachary Washington of Farmington Hills, was named to the fall 2015 Dean’s List at The University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Almond named to Wittenberg University’s Dean’s List

Committed to academic excellence, Wittenberg University regularly recognizes students who maintain high educational standards. Bailey Almond of Farmington Hills maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the 2015 fall semester and earned a place on the Dean’s List.

Sammons graduates from Davenport University

Davenport University announced that Nicole Sammons of Farmington Hills has officially completed a degree in business, technology or health professions at the end of the fall 2015 semester.

Stalk named to Dean’s List

Andrew Johnson Stalk of Farmington Hills has been named to the Deans’ List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2015-16 academic year. Stalk, a graduate student master of business administration major, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Business Administration.

Goodwin named to Dean’s List

Christianne Goodwin, a junior English and Secondary Education Certification major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2015 semester. Christianne is a 2013 graduate of North Farmington High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Goodwin (Greta) from Farmington Hills. Students eligible for the Dean’s List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean’s List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean’s List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Washington graduates from The University of Findlay

Zachary Washington of Farmington Hills graduated from The University of Findlay in December 2015. Washington received a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
